Our assessment

cryptogold.exchange presents itself as a crypto and gold platform and says it is backed by gold reserves. A claim of gold backing only becomes meaningful when you can verify the reserve, the legal ownership of the gold and your right to redeem it. We could not independently establish those points.

The gold-backing claim

An indexed version of the site says the exchange is guaranteed by gold. The registration path we reviewed also required a referral code. Neither point shows where any gold is held, who audits it, whether it is allocated to customers, or whether you can redeem it on defined terms.

What you should check before you act

Ask for a current independent reserve report, the custodian’s name, the legal entity holding title, and the exact redemption rules. Confirm every deposit, conversion, withdrawal and storage fee before you send funds. A balance on a website is not the same thing as verified ownership of a reserve asset.

What we could not verify

The current site was not usable beyond a JavaScript shell in our check. We did not verify an operator, reserves, audit, redemption terms, licence or withdrawal performance.
